We are busily preparing for the seventh Breaking Convention three day conference, which will see us return to Exeter, April 17–19th 2025; we are arranging panel discussions, inviting speakers, and planning some extremely edifying evening entertainment events for the conference. Details to be published very soon! Most excitingly, the heart of the conference is of course YOU, and we are very pleased to see so many applications for participation arriving on a multitude of interesting topics.

A gentle reminder to you all that the deadline for applications for participation is 19th January 2025 at 23:59!!!
You have just over a week…

Please apply if you have something to share with us about any area of psychedelic related research and study, including but not limited to: clinical and therapeutic applications; neuroscience; cultural usages; issues around the misuse of psychedelics; anthropology; mycology; medical treatment (e.g. addiction, depression, cluster headaches, end of life anxiety); religious and spiritual communities; use relating to creative practices, such as music/art/writing, as well as fields such as probem solving; and of course the wide-ranging field of philosophy. This list doesn’t cover all we’d love to hear about, one of the greatest joys of Breaking Convention is meeting and learning from people and subjects we didn’t even know existed…!

As well as presentations, we are keen to hear from you if you have a film, a piece of art, an installation, have a great idea for a workshop, or would like to volunteer—to apply for any of these areas, click this link and complete the relevant form. Please read the form very carefully before you start to fill it in, so you have the right information prepared for each question.

Tickets are selling fast, so don't hesitate if you want to attend—be sure of the opportunity to join us in April to find out about cutting-edge psychedelia, in the company of more than a thousand other curious people.

Some of the Organising Committee after a valuable site visit to the University of Exeter last week; planning outside art & sculpture, the psychedelic cinema, an evening cabaret, as well as arranging the Press conference, the filming of all the talks for our YouTube channel, and checking accessibility to all the lecture theatres and other areas.
