It’s the start of a new year and with those new beginnings comes new opportunities for learning.
Not only are we excited to announce that we are back with a one-day event this year, but we are launching an amazing online course!
With current drug policy as it is, it will be years before psychedelic substances will be licensed and available in the clinic for widespread use therapeutically. With this fact in mind, the popularity in trip sitting for friends and relatives has increased, and so we have decided to put together a great course on the “how to” of trip sitting.
The course has been assembled with the most important aspects of trip sitting in mind.
Trip Sitting in Theory and Practice: What it is
A 4-part online lecture series.
Developed by Breaking Convention to help you in gaining new skills and knowledge for safe and responsible trip sitting.
With four fantastic guest lecturers, each offering a different holistic and well-grounded perspective, you will receive a kaleidoscopic “how to” on trip sitting and space holding.

Opening Lecture: Thursday 26 February 2026 | Introduction to Trip Sitting: Julian Vayne (Author of Trip Sitting: The Art and Science of Holding Psychedelic Space, 2025)
Second Lecture: Thursday 05 March 2026 | The Importance of Screening in Psychedelic Practice: Benjamin Malcolm (Psychopharmacology Consultant and Psychedelic Educator of The Spirit Pharmacist)
Third Lecture: Thursday 12 March 2026 | How to Manage Psychedelic Crises: Amanda Guzinska (Manager of PsyCare UK)
Closing Lecture: Thursday 19 March 2026 | The Importance of Integration in Psychedelic Practice: Richard Tyo (founder of the Neuma Centre for Psychedelic Safety and Preparedness)
